A Brief History
Kidventure began in 1994 because we felt two things were missing from most summer camp programs: 1. An active and engaging curriculum and 2. A mature adult staff to bring that curriculum to life. Soon Kidventure brought its style of camps to several facilities in the Houston area. In addition to the day camps, Kidventure simultaneously introduced its overnight camp called Safari Overnight Camp located in Hunt, TX. Since day one our number mission has been to help enrich the lives of kids and instil positive values and character through camp. Kidventure now operates summer day camp in Houston, Austin, and in Dallas beginning in the summer of 2011.
In the summer of 2006, Kidventure served over 5,000 children from as far away as Hong Kong. In 2009, we celebrated 15 years of running camps in Texas. Although we have grown to serve more and more families each year, we have never lost sight of our highest quality and commitment to the individual child and family. In fact, we believe we are positioned to provide even better programming, better staff and training, and more options for the families of the 21st century.
Kidventure is a partnership; one that includes parents, our team, host facilities, and most importantly our children. United as a team, we continue to share ideas, offer suggestions, gain insight and work to provide the absolute best for the future….our kids.
